Weekend in Photos.

One tired pup that I smuggled down to school with me.
Between classes starting up, clubs convening for the first time, and having to cook every. meal. for. myself. , I have been a bit pressed for time in the blogging department.  In spite of the chaos that is slowly enveloping my life here at college (and to add to the spiraling situation, it's midterm week), I had a fantastic weekend.  I saw two concerts, by two completely different artists, namely Avicii and Bruce Springsteen, did some walking around my favorite Baltimore neighborhood, and popped into a café to eat dessert for no apparent reason at all.  And in true Kaitlyn fashion, (the terrible blogger that I am) I did not document them with my camera, but through my never ceasing obsession, Instagram.

<please follow me @kcorbin14, I will be oh so grateful.>

Crêpe Cake.

One of my all time favorite bakeries in New York is Lady M Cake Bakery on the Upper East Side.  Home to the famous "Mille Crêpe Cake" if I am within five blocks I am bound to stop in and pick up a slice.  Yesterday I had a little free time, and was dying to make a good dessert for a friend of mine who stopped by but I didn't have time to run to the store to get ingredients.  This turned out to be a perfect easy solution. I substituted simple vanilla infused whipped cream for the pastry cream and although my cake did not turn out looking as perfect as theirs do, it was the perfect compliment to great conversation and iced tea with a good friend.

Beach Bag Essentials.

Panama Hat, Aviators, Beach Towel, Rosewater Spray, Lip Balm, Sunscreen

Here are my absolute favorite items to carry in my beach bag.  These are the no frills added basics that I need to get to the beach, and honestly you need nothing more.  After a solid two weeks of spending every night in front of the TV taking in every last bit of the London games, a friend of mine who competed in the games bought the towel for me (it's now on sale) and I adore it.  Here's hoping you all get to spend as much time taking in the lovely (albeit hot) August sun!

July in Photos.

Dionis Beach in Nantucket.
I apologize from my lengthy respite from the wonderful world of blogging.  July literally flew by and I am just now regaining some semblance of myself.  After finishing up my (grueling) internship on Friday I have assumed a beautiful routine that revolves around me tanning, running, sleeping, and reading and I realized only today that it's been an eternity since I have opened my laptop.  Although late in coming, here are my favorite photos from instagram (I added a bonus one because July was so fantastically hectic), and I do hope you follow me at kcorbin14.

Paris in Five Photos.

Love locks on the Pont des Arts.
Continuing with the Europe tour pictures from last week, here are my five favorite pictures from my time in Paris.  They span all of the highlights from the trip (namely Saint Chapelle and Giverney) and they are the best representations I can give from this fabulous trip.  I apologize for the lack of presence on the blog recently.  My summer classes are winding down (read: finals approaching) and I am in my final weeks of my internship (read: a million things to finish before I leave).  Hopefully August brings with it a sense of relaxation, and I can finally come to terms with the fact that I am no longer a teenager as of last Thursday.
